This work was born from the discovery of a constellation, that of the Sails, visible in a distant country, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern hemisphere. It tells of an exotic and mysterious land in the eyes of two children who, for the first time, were preparing to face a journey as long as it was adventurous. For the first time, in fact, Paolo and Tiziana went to the unknown land where Aunt Marzia lived, sister of their father Evelino and daughter of their beloved grandparents: the "extravagant" Brazil. Since the preparations the air around them was electrifying and everything smelled of adventure. A real discovery that would change their lives forever. A real journey for explorers just like those dreamed of through reading the most fantastic books. They would have taken their first airplane and flown over a sky never seen before, skimming the January River, Rio De Janeiro, and then nose-up towards Salvador de Bahia: the blackest city in Brazil where more than any other place on this earth, the centennial tradition is alive and deeply rooted, so much so that it kidnaps souls and instantly creates a sort of lack... of saudade. Upon arrival, the whole aunt's family was waiting for them and it was immediately a celebration of hugs. The discovery finally begins in one of the most magical places on the planet, where nature blends with traditions and the latter with the rhythm of life. Everything flows at the natural speed of the sun and everything calms down to the sweet chanting of the phases of the moon and its pale shine. Paolo and Tiziana go to the colonial house of their uncles, which is surrounded by a large garden, where a beautiful bonfire is lit in the evening, and, all together, in deep and cosmic intimacy, we listen to Gaetano Veloso's bossa nova while admiring the grandfather who improvises a battery with steps and logs of wood to accompany these "new" syncopated rhythms, completely unknown to them. Suddenly a world of new discoveries opens up, of new flavors made of colorful exotic fruits, of a sky so full of stars that they have never encountered in their life again and of course new scents that luxuriantly cross every corner of their feelings, until they caress them the soul! Wonder has been their faithful companion throughout their journey and on one of these magical nights, around the luxuriant fire, they meet the constellation Vele.
