The story
Two guys with many passions in common: travel, reading, music. They love design, natural materials, artisanal details. They firmly believe in commitment to work and in an approach to life full of joy and passion. They are inveterate dreamers, determined to give shape to their emotions. In 2010, after years of research on essences and fragrances in Grasse and among artisans throughout Italy, they founded Masque. Like good conductors, they learned to orchestrate a heterogeneous group of maître parfumeurs and artisans. Fascinated by perfumes and refined fragrances, they enriched their training by starting an educational path on olfactory techniques, studying reference books, participating in seminars and training courses.

With dedication and commitment, they prepare to face the fascinating world of essences and raw materials. They transform their memories into words, giving life to a collection of "scenes" that represent moments of their past, places visited, friendships, loves, emotions and recurring dreams. "If only we could give life to each of these scenes... we would reveal our deepest selves, moving from an intimate and ineluctably private perspective to a universal vision..." Not only conductors, but now also playwrights and producers of an opera. Acts and scenes in which young and talented noses, emerging stars of world artistic perfumery, wear the mask and interpret their roles. In 2013 Masque Fragranze was born.

Alexander
Born and raised in Milan, Alessandro developed the belief from an early age that this Lombard capital is the center of the world. As a child, he loved listening to music and writing poetry with his mother, while watching his father, a glassblower, create objects in blown glass. After spending his teenage years studying, tutoring and playing in rock and blues bands, an experience changed his life: a year of study in England, where he met extraordinary people and lived a period of silence and introspection. He fell in love with the land of Albion, its climate, its pubs and gothic literature.

Upon his return to Milan, he graduated and became a professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan, receiving invitations to give lectures in various countries. His travels offered him unforgettable experiences, which he collected in his travel journal. His scientific research focused on the management of luxury goods, and he acquired a deep knowledge of the Italian artisanal heritage by exploring leather and goldsmith art, creating handmade jewelry.

After these experiences, Alessandro became even more convinced that every artisan workshop holds a precious know-how that must be preserved and enhanced. He joined forces with Riccardo to create something unique, with the aim of making the excellence of Made in Italy known to the world.

Richard
Born in Assisi, a medieval village between Florence and Rome, Riccardo grew up in the heart of the Umbrian countryside until he was 25. Passionate about visual arts, literature, music and mathematics, he studied classical guitar at the Conservatory of Perugia and later earned a degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Perugia.

She earned a Master in Business Administration at the Business School of the Politecnico di Milano, where she met Alessandro, a young professor who soon earned her respect and admiration. Their friendship grew stronger, and their shared passions for art and perfumes led them to found their own perfumery house, a free expression of creativity.
