The Queen And The Viper
The Queen And The Viper
In ancient Egypt, after Mark Antony's defeat at Actium, Cleopatra—the last ruler of a sun-kissed empire—remains confined to her palace in Alexandria. To avoid the humiliation of being taken to Rome as a war trophy, she decides to end her life by allowing herself to be bitten by an asp. In this gesture, both tragic and majestic, the queen seizes control of her destiny until the very last moment. The Queen and the Viper recalls this fateful episode, where courage and enigma intertwine in a moment suspended in time.
The fragrance opens with luminous notes of crystalline bergamot and spearmint, evoking the freshness of lush gardens and the banks of the Nile. Blackcurrant bud adds a vibrant, fruity touch, sparkling like the jewels of the court. The base, enriched with incense and saffron—reminiscent of the spices and sacred rituals of the era—settles into the sensual depths of blond tobacco and vetiver, enveloping the entire narrative in an aura of mystery and seduction.
