Danae

Danae
Danae is a fragrance from Argos that expresses sensuality and divinity, inspired by Gustav Klimt's 1907 work of the same name, an emblem of Symbolism. Danae, a recurring figure loved by artists of the early twentieth century, has become the symbol par excellence of divine love and transcendence.
Legend has it that Danae , imprisoned by her father Acrisius, king of Argos, in a bronze tower, received a visit from Zeus (Jupiter for the Romans), here symbolized by the golden rain flowing between her legs. The expression on Danae's face reveals the pleasure aroused by the golden flow.
In the work, she is shrouded in a regal purple veil, recalling her imperial lineage. After this celestial visit, Danae gave birth to a son, Perseus, who in Greek mythology is famous for killing the Gorgon Medusa and saving Andromeda.
