"I love Oud," says Husen Baba, founder of the house of Azman, known for its distinctive fragrances. "I have worked in the field of Oud for many years and have always deeply admired what perfume houses can create with this extraordinary essence."

Describing Risk in a few words is impossible, but no definition can truly capture its essence.

"Two years ago I imagined creating a definitive Oud fragrance. Despite the many existing creations, I knew there was still room for a sublime tribute to Oud oil."

According to Husen, the creative process of Risk was long and complex. Each phase required great attention to develop a double matrix: one of Oud, the other of musky oriental flowers with earthy and leather nuances.

"I asked one of the most talented noses in the world, Antonio Gardoni, to work on these two matrices, and the result was the perfect realization of the vision I had in mind."

Risk was born as a "crown of fire", a symbol of the greatest desire and overwhelming passion. The name reflects the great challenges of life, which are achieved with vision, perseverance and a good dose of risk.

The Oud matrix is composed of six different varieties, both vintage and new, while the floral/musky one includes helichrysum, tuberose absolute, iris and other precious ingredients.

If you are expecting a classic olfactory pyramid, you are bound to be surprised. A citrus interlude with lemons, yuzu and bergamot sets the stage for an olfactory exploration that evolves in a continuous flow of alternating notes.

"I wanted to break with the traditional olfactory scheme. I imagined a fragrance made of 'cycles of intertwined auras' – a journey between Oud and oriental flowers, enhanced by the noblest notes."

For the curious connoisseurs, the notes of the fragrance are as follows: bergamot, yuzu, vintage Oud Trat, Oud Assam, two vintage Oud India, Oud Prachin, Oud Laos, tuberose absolute, iris, ambergris, Tonkin musk, civet, Sumatran benzoin and Siam benzoin.
